HLK-LD2420 is a high-performance 24 GHz pitch-catch antenna radar module. Its human body sensing algorithm adopts millimeter-wave radar distance measurement technology and advanced proprietary signal processing technology of S3 series chips to achieve precise movement, micro-movement, and standing human body perception.
HLK-LD2420 is mainly used to detect whether there is a moving or slightly moving human body in the indoor scene perception area and refresh the detection results in real-time. It has a maximum sensing distance of 8 m for a moving human body. It can easily configure the sensing distance range, sensing sensitivity in different intervals, and refresh time. It supports GPIO and UART interfaces, plugs, and play and can be flexibly applied to different imaginative scenarios and terminal products.

Hardware description:
The picture below shows the front and back photos of the module. The module reserves 5 pin holes (not equipped with pins at the factory) called J2, which are used for power supply and communication; J1 is the SWD interface used for MCU program programming and debugging.

J1 pin description:
| J#PIN# | Name | Function | Illustrate |
| J1Pin1 | GND | Grounding | – |
| J1Pin2 | DIO | SWD interface data cable | 0 ~ 3.3 V |
| J1Pin3 | CLK | SWD interface clock line | 0 ~ 3.3 V |
| J1Pin4 | 3V3 | Power input | 3.0 V ~ 3.6 V, Typ. 3.3V |
J2 pin description:
| J#PIN# | Name | Function | Illustrate |
| J2Pin1 | 3V3 | power input | 3.0 V ~ 3.6 V, Typ. 3.3V |
| J2Pin2 | GND | grounding | – |
| J2Pin3 | 0T1 | UART_TX | 0 ~ 3.3 V |
| J2Pin4 | RX | UART_RX | 0 ~ 3.3 V |
| J2Pin5 | 0T2 | IO, is used to report the detection status: high level means there are people, and low level means no one. | 0 ~ 3.3 V |
Note: The spacing between J1 and J2 interface pins is 2.54 mm.
Configuration tool description:
After connecting the module, open the configuration tool; when the start button is not clicked or click stop after starting, the mode parameter information can be read or set.
Note: The serial port and host computer tools cannot be used simultaneously.
