This is a two-wheeled self-balancing scooter built on the Arduino platform. It uses an MPU6050 gyroscope to monitor the scooter’s motion in real time, and the core control board is the Arduino-compatible Keyes PLUS development board. Based on data obtained from sensors, the data is processed by a PID algorithm and then outputs corresponding control signals to the motor drive circuit to achieve balance control of the scooter’s motor. The scooter includes a Bluetooth module for wireless control and an ultrasonic module for obstacle avoidance. Within a certain operating space, it can flexibly turn and move forward, as well as avoid obstacles and follow movements. It can achieve autonomous balance during rapid movement and can adjust and quickly regain balance even under moderate external interference.
Based on this self-balancing scooter, various types of sensors can be added later, enabling applications in complex exploration environments.

Ultrasonic Function:
The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor uses sonar, like a bat, to determine the distance to objects. It provides excellent non-contact range detection with high accuracy and stable readings. It comes with ultrasonic transmitting and receiving modules.
① Ultrasonic Ranging: After uploading the ultrasonic code, you can see the distance measured by the ultrasonic waves by opening the serial port of the Arduino IDE.
② Ultrasonic Following: After uploading the ultrasonic following code, when the balance car switch is turned on, the car will reverse when an obstacle appears within 10cm in front, move forward when the obstacle is between 21-30cm, and stop at other distances.
③ Ultrasonic Obstacle Avoidance: After uploading the ultrasonic obstacle avoidance code, when the balance car switch is turned on, the car will reverse and then turn left when an obstacle appears within 15cm in front. It will then sense the distance again; if the distance is between 30-50cm, it will move forward; if none of the conditions are met, the car will stop.
