Acoustic Levitation The ultrasonic levitation kit suspends small bubbles, water, ants, or tiny components in the air through sound waves. The levitator operates at a frequency of 40kHz in the air and can capture objects with a density exceeding 2.2g/cm3 and a diameter of 4mm while consuming 10W of input power. Demonstrated suspension of water, silica spheres, small insects, and electronic components. It uses the fact that sound waves carry mechanical energy to exert force on objects. In this case, that force opposes gravity, causing the object to levitate. Unlike magnetic levitation, acoustic levitation can be used on various materials (even insects), although it has a weaker force.
This kit consists of Arduino nano master control, one L298N driver, and 72 4okhz ultrasonic transducers.
